Ch110 Midford Manor

Midford Manor is the primary base of operations of the Midford household. The manor's current proprietor is Marquess Alexis Leon Midford.

Structure[]

Midford Manor is the grand multistory residence of the Midford household. The manor is surrounded by well-manicured lawns, where Edward Midford frequently trains,[1] and extensive swathes of land. Its interior is lavishly furnished with portraits and vases.

History[]

Edward Midford trains in the backyard in preparation for his upcoming school year at Weston College as the Prefect of the Green House. Paula approaches and informs him that a guest has arrived for him. The guest is Herman Greenhill, who praises Edward's work ethic and laments his past actions. He reveals that he and the other former prefects attend gatherings on Saturdays to air their grievances and invites Edward to Sphere Music Hall, admitting that he would like to reconcile with him. Edward accepts.[2]

After attending a gathering, Edward returns to the manor and is greeted by his sister, Elizabeth Midford, who states that she wishes to attend, as well. Consequently, he invites her to accompany him to the next gathering.[3]

Sometime after the aforementioned gathering, Edward asks his parents, Francis Midford and Alexis Leon Midford, about Elizabeth's whereabouts, to which Francis responds that Elizabeth has gone out with Paula.[4] Some other night, he asks again and receives the same answer from his parents and later from the servants.[5]
