The Nintendo DS game is not based on any manga content. Set between Chapter 13 and 14 of the manga, it features the game-only story of Ciel and the Phantomhive household investigating Rose Manor, a haunted estate in Brighton. Though it was only released in Japanese, fan translators created an English patch.
The live action movie does not adapt any manga content; instead, it takes the series' premise and transports it from 19th-century England to 21st-century Japan. The movie follows Shiori Genpō, a descendant of Ciel Phantomhive, investigating a series of murders with Sebastian Michaelis, her family's eternal butler.
