Kuroshitsuji: Book of the Atlantic (黒執事 Book of the Atlantic, Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic) is a Kuroshitsuji theatrical anime film. It was released on January 21, 2017, in Japanese theaters and on August 23 of that year on DVD and Blu-ray in Japan.[1] The film had a limited theatrical release in the United States in June 2017, and on June 5, 2018, it was released digitally and on DVD and Blu-ray in North America and Europe with both English dubbed and subtitled versions. The story adapts the sixth arc of the Kuroshitsuji manga; the Luxury Liner arc comprises the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th volumes of the series.
A Japanese limited edition DVD box set was available for a short time. It contained the film, soundtrack CD, and a DJ CD in a three-sided folding case with new jacket art, as well as a booklet containing reference materials and an exclusive short comic by Yana Toboso. Finally, the limited set included a ticket to a special event held on November 5, 2017, in Belle Salle Takadanobaba in Shinjuku, Tokyo, starring the voice actors of Sebastian Michaelis, Grelle Sutcliff, Ronald Knox, Snake, and Rian Stoker. The DJ CD, with the voice actors of Sebastian, Ciel Phantomhive, and Elizabeth Midford speaking both in and out of character, can be listened to on the film's official website. The film can be watched on Prime Video, VUDU, and Crunchyroll.

Plot[]
In April 1889, Earl Ciel Phantomhive and his servants, Sebastian Michaelis and Snake, board the luxury passenger ship Campania alongside the Midford family—not for recreational purposes, however, but for investigating illegal human experimentation, which is later demonstrated at an Aurora Society meeting headed by a questionable doctor. Deceased individuals are coming back to life, but they have changed into something other than human. What is reviving the dead—a breakthrough in medicine or an unforeseen force?
