Joanna is a rancher and Baldroy's late wife.

Joanna approaches Baldroy.

Joanna is a cheerful, high-spirited individual with long, wavy hair and freckles. She is a bold negotiator; she once set the price for her family's milk rather high, claiming that the quality is unparalleled.

Joanna cares deeply for her husband and son. Moreover, she is an excellent cook. Her food never fails to make her husband smile, which has her son convinced that her food can make anyone smile.

History

Joanna blushes.

Joanna and Baldroy have their wedding.

Joanna was a rancher who would often trade her family's milk for Baldroy's wheat; during the trade, she would ask for too much in exchange, claiming that her family's milk was sweeter and more nutritious than the milk of others. She and Baldroy fell for each other, married, and had a son.

Joanna and Baldroy laugh.

Years later, after the relations between the farmers and the natives soured, the male villagers convened for a meeting. Later, Baldroy recounted the meeting to Joanna, who agreed that, ideally, they should resolve the issue peacefully. Baldroy Jr. commented that, even if someone were to attack them, they would be safe because of Joanna's excellent food; it always made Baldroy smile, and thus it could make anyone smile. Joanna and Baldroy laughed.

Joanna and Baldroy Jr. are dead.

One day, the village was attacked by the natives. Joanna and Baldroy Jr. were killed, and their house was set on fire.

Plot

Joanna welcomes Baldroy home.

Baldroy reunites with Joanna and Baldroy Jr.

While bleeding out and experiencing a dreamlike state, Baldroy visualizes returning home to Joanna and Baldroy Jr. Joanna asks him why he is dressed in a chef outfit and carrying kitchen tools. Baldroy explains that he is a chef for an aristocrat, much to Joanna's astonishment, for Baldroy had not set foot in the kitchen since they got married. Having initially struggled with peeling potatoes, Baldroy expresses his admiration for Joanna's cooking skills. He also expresses his appreciation for working alongside the other Phantomhive servants, despite their ineptitude, and admits that it is not "a bad place to work," which pleases Joanna. Baldroy adds that he can make fried eggs now, to Baldroy Jr.'s delight, and promises his son that he will make all the fried eggs that he wants.

Suddenly, the ground crumbles beneath Baldroy, who calls out to Joanna and Baldroy Jr., but Sebastian Michaelis interposes himself between them and lets Baldroy fall.
