Hopkins' Tailor Shop, or Hopkins The Tailor,[1][2][3] (ホプキンス・テーラー, Hopukinsu tērā) is a tailor shop on Savile Row,[2] London. It is currently owned by Nina Hopkins, "the tailor who announces the seasons."[4]
Overview[]
The Hopkins family has outfitted many generations of the Queen's Watchdog.[5] The current members of both families, Nina Hopkins and Ciel Phantomhive, uphold this tradition. Nina does not only create clothes for everyday wear for Ciel and his household[6] but also for special occasions, e.g. Ciel's attire for his decoration as the Queen's Watchdog,[7] a party hosted by Aleister Chamber,[8] and the Weston College boat parade.[1]
Structure[]

Waiting and fitting room

Nina's workshop
The tailor shop is a two-story building: Downstairs is the general waiting and fitting room where new designs and fabrics are displayed.[9] There are private changing rooms as well.[10] Upstairs is Nina's tailor's workshop, which is often messy when Nina works on new orders and commissions.[11]
History[]
Emerald Witch Arc
In August 1889, Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis seek out Hopkins' Tailor Shop to commission a formal dress and a matching suit for Sieglinde Sullivan and Wolfram Gelzer for Sieglinde's debut and audience in Queen Victoria's drawing room. Nina eagerly accepts and she immediately has a vision for the dress' design.
While Meg and Augusta take Wolfram's measurements downstairs, Nina heads with Sieglinde upstairs. There, Sieglinde sees Nina's wall of photographs, many of which capture girls and women with short hair, and asks her to cut her hair; Nina complies, to Sebastian's frustration.[12]
Blue Cult Arc
In fall, Nina was hired to design[13] and make costumes and outfits for the Sphere Music Hall: for the Starlight Four, the four Star Lords, the staff, and the guests. Blavat Sky supervises the creation of the Starlight Four's clothes; he attends fittings and makes bold and innovative suggestions.[14] Furthermore, Nina and her team are only allowed to take measurements of everyone but the Star Lords. Their measurements are taken by someone else and the fittings done through Blavat.[15]
One day, when Nina with Meg and Augusta is overseeing a delivery, she is spotted by Ciel and Sebastian.[16] After the delivery is finished, Ciel offers Nina a ride during which she tells him all about her involvement with the Sphere Music Hall. Ciel asks her to let Sebastian accompany her to one of her deliveries, but Nina is only willing to agree if she can upgrade Sebastian's attire first; Ciel accepts the condition.
When they arrive at the tailor shop, Nina dresses Sebastian in a wide variety of options, to Sebastian's chagrin and Ciel's amusement. They eventually settle on a fitted striped suit, a bowtie, and a hat. Sometime later, Sebastian joins Nina, Meg, and Augusta for the delivery.[17]
