Baron Chris Heathfield (クリス・ヒースフィールド, Kurisu Hīsufīrudo) is the owner of Heathfield Manor and a member of the parliament.[2]
Appearance[]
Chris is a handsome bearded man with wavy light hair.[3] He typically wears suits.
Personality[]
Chris is a relatively urbane but eccentric[4] individual who has established rules for his servants that are generally regarded as unusual for someone in his position;[5][4] for example, he requires his servants to bathe once every two days,[6] as well as his maids to wear makeup when they greet them[4] and to take great care of their collars and cuffs.[7]
Furthermore, Chris is promiscuous and unprincipled: He invites one of his maids to his bedroom every night;[8] after he copulates with them, he sends them off to have their blood drawn in the basement, as part of his covert arrangement to deliver the collected blood to "Ciel Phantomhive" and Undertaker.[9] He is perpetually searching for a suitable substitute for his late wife.[10] Both Ran-Mao and Jane have referred to him as a "lecher."[11][12]
History[]
Some years ago, Chris lost his wife and daughter in a carriage accident. Ever since, he has been searching for a substitute for his wife—a substitute who does not only resemble her in appearance, but in personality, voice, compatibility, and shape of soul, as well.[10]
Chris hired Jane on the basis of her killing skills and paid her extraordinarily well for her to pose as a maid and guard Heathfield Manor so that no one could learn of the blood-collecting operation in the basement. Every now and then, a group wearing black hoods visited the basement late at night, escorted by Abbie, who, along with the house steward, smuggled the collected blood out the manor by concealing them in tradespeople's goods.[13]
Plot[]
Blue Revenge Arc[]
In late 1889, Chris Heathfield returns to his manor from parliament.[2] His servants line up to greet him, and he personally welcomes his new maids: Mey-Rin, Ran-Mao, Annie, and Miranda.[14]
Later, at night, Chris sleeps with Annie[15] who he invited to his bedroom earlier by slipping a note into the cuff of her uniform.[16] Afterward, Chris allegedly throws Annie out of his manor[17] and invites Ran-Mao to his bedroom next.[18]
That night, Chris caresses Ran-Mao, who inquires into the other maids. Chris claims that they have all gone home after he found them unsuitable and attempts to be intimate with Ran-Mao, but she punches him, stating that she punches "lechers." She then orders him to bring her the maids.[19]
When Chris continues to prevaricate, Ran-Mao beats him until he yields. However, before he can tell her what has happened to the maids, Jane shoots a tranquilizer dart at Ran-Mao's neck, and the latter collapses. Jane says that she did warn Chris about Ran-Mao and Mey-Rin and calls all women "savage beasts." After advising that Chris stay hidden to recover, Jane drags Ran-Mao down into the secret basement, where Annie and the rest of the missing maids are,[20] and injects sedatives to keep her asleep while her blood is drawn.[21]
Later, the maids emerge from the basement in droves.[22] When a confused Chris surfaces and asks why his bride candidates are present, the aggrieved maids rebuke and beat him.[23] Later, Scotland Yard takes Chris into custody.[24]
