The Butler, Bloodshed (その執事、刃傷, Sono Shitsuji, Ninjō) is Chapter 207 of the Kuroshitsuji manga.
Summary[]
Horrified by what she has done, Doll drops the glass shard in her hands and hurries to Snake. She presses her hands against the wound on his neck, but she cannot stop the blood seeping out of Snake. Finnian watches by and just when he considers taking Doll down as she has lost the "will to fight," the chief grabs Mabel and holds a gun against her head. She says that because they, the "defects," have caused so much trouble for them, she will now kill them all.
While the others cannot do anything but spectate, Artie unexpectedly grabs the gun Susan dropped earlier and shoots the chief in the head, killing her instantly. He then orders Oliver to kill Susan who has "outlived her usefulness." Oliver hesitates to stab her, and Susan begs for her life to be spared; in exchange, she will lead them outside. Without hearing her out, Artie shoots her in the head too. Everyone stares at him in shock and horror as he goes to inspect Susan's corpse: Like he anticipated, she had knives hidden in her hair and in her sleeves. He confiscates them and states that "adults are all the same" because he knew from one glance that they were murderers.
Afterward, Artie tells Theodore to take the chief's gun and adds that he should not get scared now; they have known each other since before the orphanage after all. Theodore complies and claims the gun. A moment later, he hears footsteps and announces that more staff members are coming. The elder students are ready to leave; Finnian, however, hesitates and looks back at the wounded Snake in Doll's arms. He contemplates killing her swiftly to retrieve Snake, but Theodore interrupts his planning and insists that they have to go now. Theodore reminds Finnian that he and Snake have come to F.O.L. Orphanage on the orders of their master and that at least one of them has to make it out alive.
With the rest of the staff coming closer, Finnian makes the difficult decision to leave Snake behind. He apologizes to his friend before escaping with the elder students.
