The Butler, Foggy is Chapter 188 of the Kuroshitsuji manga.
Summary[]
After Layla stabbed Baldroy in the back, she holds her knife and comments how lovely the blood on it smells; it is the smell of her "food." She then falls into a frenzy and starts to suck blood from the wound on Baldroy's back, though she can quickly restrain herself again. Layla scolds herself for being so shameless; she was simply so hungry that she could not help herself. She wipes her face clean and remembers that Undertaker told her that ingesting blood via the mouth was useless. She also says that she came to the Athena Sanatorium because she was not getting enough blood and wanted to see what was happening at the sanatorium; she never thought she would encounter a "rat"—or, maybe, he is rather a "dog."
As Layla considers Baldroy, she wonders whether he is an associate of the "liar Earl" as he knew about the blood ingestion. She does not care much about that though because everything is "all good" now that she has killed him. And because Baldroy corrupted their "mock Nightingale" Ada, she will now exterminate everyone. She leaves the still-living Baldroy in the forest and happily returns to the sanatorium.
There, Lau is drinking tea while reading a book when Layla sneaks up to him from behind. She tries to stab him, but Lau throws a needle at her before she can. Lau puts down his cup and says he knew she was not an ordinary nurse from the first time they met because he sensed a "strange" aura coming from her. Layla briefly feigns to be in pain before she pulls out the needle from her arm and tells Lau that she is only playing with him. She then charges at him and manages to cut Lau's hand. She smells his blood and licks it and notes that he is her food as well. Thus, Layla wants to "wring him dry."
Before she can do anything though, Baldroy shoots her from behind. Layla wonders how he is still alive, and he apologizes and replies that he used to be known as the "invincible private soldier." He adds that he should be asking her this question: After all, he shot her through the heart.
While Layla whines that her blood is spilling out of her, Lau considers her and concludes that if she is still alive although the bullet hit her vitals, she must be one of those reanimated corpses Ciel told him about.
Baldroy remarks that he did not imagine Layla was a Bizarre Doll. Because she looks like a child, he does not want to kill her; for Ciel's sake, she has to die though. Suddenly, Layla calls out to "Al" for help. This disorients Lau and Baldroy and makes them look if someone else is here too. Layla seizes this opportunity and jumps out of a window. Lau suggests to follow her on a horse, but then, Baldroy collapses.
As Layla runs away, she curses at "Al" for not coming to her rescue. She will tell "Ciel" about that.
At the sanatorium, Ada barges into the room, wanting to know what that gunshot was, and sees Lau cradling a heavily bleeding Baldroy in his arms. Lau informs her that he was stabbed deeply in the back and lost a lot of blood. Ada tells Baldroy to pull himself together before she scrutinizes him: His consciousness is clouded, he is sweating profusely and shaking—he will die from blood loss if they do not do anything. Determined, Ada tells Lau to help her get Baldroy to the operating theatre.
Baldroy opens his eyes and sees everything in a fog. He knows Ada is saying something but cannot hear her; his hands and feet are freezing cold and his vision is blurry. Baldroy struggles to lift an arm and tell Lau and Ada to let Ciel know that Athena Sanatorium will never give blood to Undertaker and "Ciel". Ada tells him not to speak, but Baldroy adds anyway that he could not collect his wages after all and asks Ciel for "leave." Lau then calls out to Baldroy.
