The Butler, Annihilating is Chapter 183 of the Kuroshitsuji manga.
Summary[]
Sometime before the attack, Baldroy attended a gathering in the village church. A man reported to everyone present that, a few days ago, a nearby town was attacked by the natives. Ever since the railway was completed, settlers have been taking the food from the natives; the army has also been overhunting the buffalos. Hearing this, someone suggested to fortify the village and get guns. Baldroy remarked that this could worsen matters and proposed a peaceful approach: They could sell them food at a cheap price. He also reminded everyone that the natives had helped them when their ancestors arrived in America. However, Baldroy's suggestion was dismissed because the village is not rich and things are not as "simple" as that.
After the meeting, Baldroy returned home and told Joanna and Baldroy Jr. about everything. His son then joyfully said that they had nothing to fear as long as his mother was there: Her food was the best, and if it could his father smile, it could make everyone smile.
Back in the present, Baldroy hurries home—and sees his house burning. He rushes inside and when he sees the corpses of his wife and son, he breaks inside. He wished for nothing but to live happily and ordinarily like his ancestors; now, he cannot have this anymore.
Baldroy goes back outside and is hit with an arrow in the back by a native. He kills him and takes a look at his burning fields. Noting that he cannot set root there anymore, Baldroy walks away.
