The Butler, Guiding is Chapter 164 of the Kuroshitsuji manga.
Summary[]
Sebastian guides Mey-Rin to her bedroom and finds out that Mey-Rin cannot see anything in close distance due to her far-sightedness. He comments that this will hinder Mey-Rin from her daily duties and says that he will consult Ciel for a solution. Then, Sebastian tells Mey-Rin that she should take a bath before she goes to bed. He gives her hot water for the bathtub and a change of clothes which are men's clothes though.
Left alone, Mey-Rin takes a bath and changes into her nightclothes before she falls into her bed, wondering when the last time she slept in a bed was.
The next morning, Mey-Rin wakes up to Nina watching her. Believing that Qīng Bāng has sent an assassin to silence her, Mey-Rin hastily sits up and demands to know from Nina who she is. Nina tells her that she is Nina Hopkins, "the tailor who announces the seasons," and has arrived as soon as she heard that Ciel employed a maid.
Sebastian enters the room and scolds Nina not to scare Mey-Rin and reassures Mey-Rin that Nina works for them and has been called to tailor some clothes for her. Inspired by Mey-Rin and her story, Nina has a creative overflow and lists all the items she would have to prepare for her. Mey-Rin stills Nina's rambling, stating that she has no money to commission clothes. Nina tells her not to worry as Ciel will pay for everything while Sebastian informs Mey-Rin that he has already made a plan for her to pay off the clothes little by little with her future wages. In their disagreement, Sebastian and Nina glare at each other before Nina pushes him out of her room so that she can start working.
Nina clothes Mey-Rin in her maid uniform from the chemise and stockings to the overdress and apron. When Mey-Rin has changed fully into her new clothes, she admits to Nina that she has never worn a skirt before, making Nina feel sympathy for her. Nina then proceeds to cut Mey-Rin's hair and fix her eyebrows.
When she is done, Nina tells her to admire herself in the mirror before catching herself and retrieving the pair of glasses Ciel bought as a gift for Mey-Rin. Nina puts the glasses on Mey-Rin and gives her a lecture on the power and significance of clothes in which she calls them "magic items."
With her glasses on, Mey-Rin can finally see her new self. She cannot believe that the person reflected in the mirror is really her, but when she takes a step forward to her reflection, she trips over her heels.
