<p>I find it disrespectful, as a trans person, that you're not using Grell's proper pronouns on her page. She said multiple times she is a woman and, by what's written in the Trivia, she says she wants to become a woman because she is not happy living as a man. She is clearly a TRANS WOMAN, and should be referred to using her correct pronouns. It's flat out transphobic that you refuse to use the proper pronouns. She is not a crossdresser or a gay man, she is a trans woman. How HARD IS IT TO UNDERSTAND.

<p>.... How familiar are you with Japanese writing? Because Grell pretty much falls squarely into one of their most prominent character archtypes of the effeminate man. Now I've not read all the manga yet, I've not seen the statements to which you're referring, so maybe he does fall more into the mold of being a trans character than just OTT gay guy, but rather than getting bent out of shape about it, you could easily have put this up calmly and make your point without accusing everyone here of being transphobic.

</p><p>As Master Lau, the Admin here brought up, the author herself seems to refer to Grell using male pronouns, so for the sake of objective identification, the wiki is referring to Grell using as unbiased a viewpoint as we can.

i understand that she is a transgender and yes it is disrespectful to call her a he but she isn't a living being so why is everyone getting so upset.

Why does Grell need a gender? Personally I like to think of Grell as both genders. Sometimes I call Grell a he and sometimes I call Grell a she. In the long run it is not that big of a deal as you are making it. Grell's gender can just be Grell.

<p>I would also like to mention that even if we were to change the page to change her pronouns, who is going to suffer with the work of changing <i>EVERY PRONOUN</i>. That is about 147-177ish pronouns you would have to change.

<p>The official creators of the show has confirmed Grell as to belong to the MtF gender. If I have the time this weekend, I will try to go to as many pages as I can, and change the pronouns.

<p>I just see Grell as a male Grim Reaper (like the rest of them) who often acts like an effeminate female that takes pride in her looks (a he loves being praised for it), has delicate senses, pulls off the female form quite nicely from time to time as he loves to dress up, and has some rather highly outspoken opinions when it comes to drama or romance (especially when it comes to finding a man who "milk" him for all he's worth). Basically, Grell is a male who prefers to take on the advantages and aspects of a being a woman. So I wouldn't say he' transgender but a transvestite. It's just better to leave the audience to their imaginations than to force one's opinion onto the audience as a solid/legit fact, especially without any proven evidence
