Yana Toboso confirmed shes a trans woman, right? this is my biggest problem with the anime, it misgendered her and caused so much confusion that people still are unsure. its annoying. this is lowkey a vent, but also a question. if you read this far, have a cute pic for your troubles

So apparently Tanaka is just a Phantomhive house Stewart right? I still find him kinda mysterious. 1- (silly question) is he related to the Phantomhives? I ask this because he has been called "gramps" multiple times by Ciel. If he IS related to them by blood, then why is he working for them and how come he's japanese? Otherwise do they just call him gramps out of affection? Or more likely that's what they call all elderly people?

2- I don't get how he's sometimes "human" and when he uses up his "energy" he deflates into that "ho ho ho" version. Like seriously what the hell!? Aren't they going to tell us how that scientifically works? Or are they going to give us his back story in the upcoming chapters?
